AMC’s intention to accept three more cryptocurrencies for transactions with its customers by the end of the year was announced by the company’s CEO Adam Ayron, in a post on Twitter.

After reminding consumers that AMC is already accepting bitcoin transactions for online ticket purchases and purchases from the company’s stores, Eron then informed the public that “very soon” the cryptocurrencies Ethereum, Litecoin, and Bitcoin Cash will be usable by its customers.

It is recalled that during the presentation of the company’s second-quarter results in August, it was announced that AMC will henceforth accept transactions with bitcoin, while Ayron had stressed that payments will also be accepted through Google Pay and Apple Pay apps.

As stated in a MarketWatch report, AMC is following the path mapped out by other companies such as PayPal and Square Inc., while Tesla, despite its initial intention to accept bitcoin as a means of trading, changed its stance in May, with Elon Musk expressing concern about whether cryptocurrency mining will burden the global energy market.
