New Website Lets AI Agents “Rent” Humans for Real-World Tasks

-

A crypto developer has launched a website, rentahuman.ai, that allows AI agents to hire humans for real-world tasks. The platform, created by an engineer at UMA Protocol and Across Protocol, enables individuals to set hourly rates for services from errands to business meetings. The developer confirmed the project has no cryptocurrency token and was built using AI coding agents in a process called “vibe coding.”

A new website called rentahuman.ai enables artificial intelligence agents to hire people for physical tasks. The platform lets humans set an hourly rate for services ranging from simple errands to attending business meetings.

The site was launched by Alex, an engineer at decentralized finance platform UMA Protocol and layer-2 bridging solution Across Protocol. He stated in an X post that the platform allows an AI agent to rent a person for a real-world task with a simple call.

The website describes itself as “the meatspace layer for AI,” noting that robots “can’t touch grass.” It displays available humans, an option to become rentable, and a platform growth metric.

Almost 26,000 people have reportedly signed up, though the developer acknowledged that figure may include duplicate or impersonated accounts. He noted they are working to patch these issues.

During a podcast interview, the developer explicitly stated the project will not involve cryptocurrency. “There’s no token, I’m just not into that. That would just be way too stressful, and also again I don’t want a bunch of people to lose their money,” he said.

He revealed the website was built through “vibe coding” using an “army” of Claude-based AI agents. This was achieved with a Ralph loop, a technique of running AI coding agents in a loop until they complete a task.

“I think we are out of the trough of disillusionment [toward AI capabilities] and now people are realizing we can ship real code with this,” he stated. He confirmed a custom Ralph loop created the rentahuman.ai website.

This project follows other unusual AI agent platforms emerging in 2026, such as the AI social media site Moltbook. That Reddit-like platform for AI bots has also gained attention for strange on-site discussions.
