Ripple partners with Aviva to tokenize funds on XRPL for European DeFi expansion.

-

Ripple’s XRP Ledger has partnered with asset manager Aviva Investors to host tokenized traditional funds, marking its first European corporate collaboration. This follows Ripple securing two regulatory licenses in the UK and Luxembourg earlier in 2026, as the blockchain company builds momentum for bridging traditional and decentralized finance.

Ripple has secured two regulatory licenses in 2026 and now partnered with Aviva Investors to host its traditional funds in tokenized form on the XRP Ledger. These moves are part of a deliberate strategy to expand Ripple’s global footprint and push the XRPL closer to mainstream decentralized finance adoption.

The licenses in the United Kingdom and Luxembourg allowed for deeper integration into the payments market. The partnership with the European firm Aviva Investors is further evidence the blockchain is stepping deeper into the European market.

Partnerships help expand the ecosystem by attracting new projects and capital. At a micro level, they build conviction that XRPL is a core part of Web3’s future.

On-chain data shows capital inflows are strong, with stablecoin market cap and real-world asset value hitting new all-time highs. The Aviva deal highlights XRPL’s robust network fundamentals like speed and low cost.

The Aviva partnership and EU regulatory licenses position XRPL to scale across Europe. These moves highlight XRPL’s strong on-chain fundamentals, marking its first real step towards connecting TradFi and DeFi.
