Shiba Inu (SHIB) surged in the 2021 bull run and created several millionaires, but its price has since fallen sharply. According to CoinGecko data, SHIB is down about 92% from its all-time high of $0.00008616.
A $1,000 investment today would buy roughly 166.7 million SHIB tokens. For those tokens to be worth $1 million, SHIB would need to reach $0.006 per coin, a gain near 99,900%.
The project currently has about 589 trillion coins in circulation, so a $0.006 price implies a market capitalization around $3.53 trillion. (Ed. note: $3.53 trillion would exceed Bitcoin (BTC) and many major tech companies.)
If SHIB instead reached a new, more modest high of $0.00009 per coin, an investor would need about 11.11 billion tokens to hold $1 million. The current value of 11.11 billion SHIB is roughly $66,666, so becoming a millionaire now would require a much larger upfront purchase than during SHIB’s early rise.
