An analyst’s prediction that XRP could surge to $8 or even $27 in the next 15-18 months has ignited discussion. AI models have provided assessments, with ChatGPT suggesting a 40% chance for the $8 target but only a 5% chance for $27, citing immense market cap hurdles. Gemini described the higher target as “near-impossible” and noted a low, but not impossible, chance for $8, dependent on a “perfect storm” of market conditions.
An analyst known as EGRAG CRYPTO has forecast that Ripple‘s native token could reach $8 by January 2027 and $27 by August 2027. “It’s not impossible,” stated ChatGPT when asked about the prediction’s viability.
ChatGPT noted that Fibonacci extensions have historically worked well in crypto and cited XRP‘s past surges of 63,000% in 2017 and over 1,000% in 2020-2021. It argued the $8 target has a stronger case, requiring a breakout above the asset’s all-time high of $3.65.
However, ChatGPT set the odds for reaching $27 at just 5%, as it would create a “market cap problem.” A price of $27 would imply a market capitalization exceeding $1.7 trillion.
Gemini began its assessment by warning it is easy to get swept up in such hype. It determined that reaching $27 seems “near-impossible” at the moment.
“The real chances of XRP hitting $8 next year are low, but not completely impossible,” Gemini stated. It said achieving this would require a “perfect storm” scenario with parabolic institutional inflows.
