Employees at Axiom, a profitable Solana trading platform, are accused of abusing internal customer data for insider trading, according to an investigation by sleuth ZachXBT. The report alleges business development employee Broox Bauer and associates used privileged access to track user wallets for over ten months. Axiom stated it is investigating and has removed access to the tools, while the case may attract scrutiny from federal prosecutors in New York.
Employees at the Solana trading platform Axiom are accused of abusing sensitive user data to execute insider trades. An investigation released by pseudonymous sleuth ZachXBT pins the schemes on business development employee Broox Bauer. Bauer and associates allegedly used internal tools to look up customers’ crypto wallets and track their activity. “There was little to no monitoring or access controls in place to mitigate this abuse from happening in the first place,” ZachXBT stated.
The group allegedly created a spreadsheet of target wallets, with the activity starting months after Axiom launched in January 2025. In a recorded call, Bauer allegedly outlined a plan to help an associate profit $200,000. The accusations emerge amid heightened concerns over insider trading in crypto and prediction markets. A recent Polymarket betting pool gave Axiom a 30% chance of being named in ZachXBT’s teased exposé.
Founded in 2024, Axiom has generated over $390 million in revenue to date. The platform stated, “We are surprised and disappointed to hear that someone on our team abused internal customer support tools.” It has removed access to these tools and will continue investigating. ZachXBT suggested the case could fall within the jurisdiction of the Southern District of New York US Attorney’s Office.
The federal court has litigated high-profile crypto cases including those against FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried and Terraform Labs founder Do Kwon. ZachXBT said he hopes the Axiom co-founders consider taking legal action against the employees involved. He was retained by Axiom to investigate the allegations of misconduct after initial concerns were raised.
