Prominent crypto investigator ZachXBT has alleged misconduct by a senior employee at the centralized exchange Axiom. The claims state that employee Broox Bauer exploited internal tools to access sensitive user data, including private wallet addresses, for coordinated trading strategies. The allegations could potentially involve the Southern District of New York.
A senior employee at Axiom Exchange allegedly accessed private user data for trading purposes. The prominent crypto investigator ZachXBT stated he was retained to independently investigate the allegations after receiving reports.
ZachXBT identified the employee as Broox Bauer, a senior business development staffer based in New York. In recorded clips, Broox allegedly claimed he could track any user through referral codes, wallet addresses, or user IDs.
The investigator said Broox shared screenshots from an internal dashboard displaying private wallets. According to the claims, he discussed plans in early 2026 to help a new employee profit by abusing internal access.
A group allegedly created a Google Sheet compiling wallet information obtained through Axiom’s internal dashboard. Several key opinion leaders named in the document independently confirmed the accuracy of their attributed wallet data.
Broox’s main wallet was identified through private chat messages, with funds flowing to centralized exchange deposit addresses. ZachXBT noted that isolating specific insider trading examples was difficult without access to Axiom’s internal logs to review trade timing.
The investigator said the matter could potentially fall within the jurisdiction of the Southern District of New York. ZachXBT has built a reputation for tracing major crypto crime networks in separate investigations.
