Binance will conduct two wallet maintenance sessions on April 7, temporarily suspending deposits and withdrawals for the Ethereum network for about one hour. The exchange will also support the TON Network Catchain 2.0 upgrade on the same day, which may require brief pauses. Trading on both networks will continue uninterrupted, and the platform will handle all technical requirements.
The leading cryptocurrency exchange Binance revealed it will perform wallet maintenance for the Ethereum network on April 7. During this hour-long procedure, deposits and withdrawals on that network will be temporarily suspended.
“Deposits and withdrawals for token(s) on the aforementioned network will be reopened once the upgraded network is deemed to be stable. No further announcement will be posted,” the announcement reads. Token trading on the Ethereum network will not be affected by this maintenance.
On the same date, the exchange will support the upcoming TON Network Catchain 2.0 upgrade to increase block production speed. Binance stated it will briefly pause deposits and withdrawals for TON “if adjustments are required” during the transition.
Trading on the TON network will continue without interruption throughout the process. These are standard operations that Binance has carried out multiple times over the years for various networks.
The company has been active in other areas, recently adding several new trading pairs to its Cross Margin program and delisting others that did not meet its criteria. Furthermore, Binance plans to introduce a prediction market feature by aggregating platforms from third-party providers.
This new product will allow users to place bets on outcomes across categories like sports, economics, and crypto. Some of the exchange’s main competitors have already entered the burgeoning prediction market space.
