Cardano Foundation this week delegated an extra 220 million ADA (about $80 million) to 11 delegated representatives as part of its updated roadmap, CEO Frederik Gregaard revealed in a governance update (revealed). The move raises total community delegation to 360 million ADA and aims to distribute voting power and strengthen governance (Ed. note: the Foundation said it will also change self-delegation to ensure active participation).
Midnight, Cardano’s privacy-focused sidechain that launched in December, formed a partnership with AlphaTON Capital to deliver privacy-preserving AI products to Telegram users, according to a press release (stated). Fahmi Syed, President of the Midnight Foundation, said: “The next great leap for the Internet isn’t more speed or more content, it’s the restoration of personal agency. Utility should not come at the expense of privacy and ownership… The partnership is a powerful example of how decentralized technology can be scaled to meet real-world demand.”
Trading platforms have listed Midnight’s NIGHT token, and eToro recently added the asset, according to a network post (mentioned). NIGHT’s price fell about 22% monthly and its market capitalization dropped below $1 billion.
ADA trades near $0.36, down 11% over the past week, while large holders recently bought more than 200 million ADA. Some analysts remain bullish, with one noting potential upside to $0.53 if the $0.33–$0.36 demand zone holds (mentioned).
