Popular crypto analyst Lark Davis has warned that the vast majority of altcoins will eventually crash to zero. He identified only Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Solana (SOL) as having guaranteed longevity over the next decade. Davis urged investors to thoroughly understand their holdings and to focus portfolios on a select few assets with genuine potential.
Popular crypto analyst Lark Davis has issued a stark warning about the longevity of most digital assets. He predicted that 90% to 99% of altcoins will eventually crash to virtually zero.
“You might hate me for saying this, but 90% of altcoins are going to zero. In fact, it’s probably closer to 99%,” Davis stated on social media. He specifically targeted projects with flashy branding or unrealistic promises as vulnerable.
Davis outlined only three cryptocurrencies as certain to still exist in ten years. He identified these as Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Solana (SOL).
The analyst also mentioned Ripple’s XRP and Chainlink (LINK) but cautioned their futures are less certain. He advised investors to build focused portfolios of five to ten high-conviction assets.
“Understand what you’re buying and understand that this is not the stock market,” he urged. This advice comes as the named assets face near-term market uncertainty.
Bitcoin currently trades around $72,000 amidst recent bearish predictions from some analysts. Ethereum is trading just above a critical support zone mentioned by another market observer.
On social media, user Ted suggested holding the $2,150-$2,200 level is key for Ethereum. “Losing this zone means longs will get wiped out,” the user added.
Solana has rebounded to roughly $83, but analysts are divided on its next move. One observer claimed a breakout above $87 could propel SOL toward $96.
