Changpeng “CZ” Zhao has outlined the conditions for the United States to lead the global cryptocurrency sector. The U.S. needs competition and infrastructure, which will, in turn, attract deep liquidity, matching international markets, CZ stated. He revealed that U.S. consumers currently lack access to the best global crypto services and pricing.
CZ shared these opinions during a remote interview with The Digital Chamber advocacy group. He insisted that traditional media often portrays the industry in a one-sided and inaccurate manner. CZ claimed much of what is reported about him and Binance is not true, a point he noted is evidenced by U.S. courts dismissing related cases.
He admitted that his limited engagement with traditional press contributes to misunderstandings. CZ will be releasing a memoir he began writing while in prison in 2024. He pleaded guilty to violating anti-money laundering laws at that time.
The billionaire believes media narratives will evolve as cryptocurrency adoption grows. He also noted the current U.S. administration faces criticism for supporting crypto. CZ insisted there is a partisan element to repeated efforts to wage a war on the asset class.
