Ethereum RWAs Pass $15B as Liquid Staking ETP Launches in Europe

-

The market for Ethereum-based real-world assets (RWAs) has surpassed $15 billion in total market capitalization, a nearly 200% increase from the previous year. Separately, WisdomTree has launched Europe’s first fully staked Ethereum exchange-traded product (ETP), which stakes 100% of its assets to deliver full staking rewards to investors through a liquid staking model.

The total market capitalization for Ethereum real-world assets has exceeded $15 billion, according to data from Token Terminal. This represents a nearly 200% year-on-year increase and signals growing institutional adoption of blockchain for traditional finance products.

On February 16, WisdomTree Funds launched the WisdomTree Physical Lido Staked Ether ETP (LIST). It is traded on several major European exchanges including Deutsche Börse Xetra and SIX Swiss Exchange.

Unlike traditional Ethereum ETPs, LIST stakes 100% of its underlying assets via Lido Finance. This structure allows investors to earn the full Ethereum staking yield while maintaining liquidity through tradable stETH tokens.

The product utilizes liquid staking to simplify complex operational and risk management tasks. It mitigates validator risk and avoids the 71-day entry queue for Ethereum’s validator set.

Kean Gilbert, Head of Institutional Relations at Lido, stated that this solution taps into the most capital-efficient source of yield in crypto while simplifying operations for institutional clients. The regulatory environment in Europe enabled this first-of-its-kind product for total returns.
