Jacob & Co. and GoMining unveil 100-piece Epic X package: $40K watch plus 1,000TH miner now.

-

GoMining and Jacob & Co. recently launched a 100-piece Epic X GoMining package. It bundles a Jacob & Co. hand-wound watch with a 1,000 TH digital miner.

The bundle sells for $40,000. It will be available in New York and Miami showrooms, on the watchmaker’s website, and on the GoMining marketplace.

The digital miner is a certificate for 1,000 TH of capacity from GoMining’s existing fleet, not a physical rig. Rewards are credited daily to owners’ GoMining accounts, net of upkeep fees.

A company spokesperson said the package offers roughly a $10,000 discount compared with separate purchases. “The price of the package is the combination of the price of the timepiece and TH power of a digital miner,” the spokesperson said.

Digital miners on the platform start at about 1 TH for roughly $23, with an estimated yearly net reward of $6.53. A 1,024 TH miner shows an estimated net reward near $7,000 per year (Ed. note: estimates use current Bitcoin prices); a related market poll is available here.

“The watches created alongside Jacob and Co. will be the first of its kind,” the spokesperson added. This is not the jeweler’s first Bitcoin-themed timepiece; a prior Astronomia model was limited and noted in a previous feature.
