SOIL Adopts XRPL Lending Protocol to Automate Institutional Loans

-

Institutional investment platform SOIL has integrated the XRP Ledger’s Lending Protocol to automate digital asset lending. The system uses Single Asset Vaults for real-time tracking and instant settlement, aiming to replace slow, manual processes. SOIL targets an approximate 8% annual yield for pooled RLUSD assets while using permissioned vaults to ensure regulatory compliance.

The platform SOIL has begun leveraging the XRPL Lending Protocol to streamline institutional lending. This creates a more efficient system for managing digital assets from large investors.

Funds are placed in Single Asset Vaults on the XRPL, with RLUSD as the primary asset. This allows for near-instant settlement and simplifies global money transfers.

Traditionally, institutional fundraising was a slow, manual process involving multiple systems. SOIL’s implementation automates loan management, interest calculation, and repayment directly on the ledger.

The protocol automates the entire loan lifecycle, making admin tasks that once required several employees fully automated. Investors can monitor loan health, due dates, and amounts in real-time.

SOIL officially started the process as stated in a company announcement. Single Asset Vaults aggregate funds into a single ledger entry for simpler administration.

The APR target for the aggregated RLUSD is approximately 8%. This is not a promise and is subject to the protocol amendments going live on the mainnet.

SOIL maintains regulatory compliance through private vaults responsible for screenings and procedures. This allows institutions to benefit from blockchain transparency and speed while adhering to rules.

The platform invests pooled funds in money market funds and private credit strategies. This activity is cited as a clear use case for the broader XRPL ecosystem.
