Solana Liquidity Stays Put, Shifts Internally as DEX Competition Grows

-

Solana’s liquidity is demonstrating new resilience, with capital rotating within its ecosystem rather than exiting during stress. The network’s SOL-denominated Total Value Locked (TVL) has reached an all-time high above 80 million SOL, even as DEX volume remains strong. This internal flow, shifting between venues like Kamino and Raydium, suggests a maturing structure where stability depends on efficient capital movement.

Solana’s liquidity behavior is shifting as capital moves within the ecosystem rather than exiting during market stress. SOL-denominated TVL has exceeded 80 million SOL, an all-time high, while monthly DEX volume hit $95 billion.

Data shows a TVL of $5.55 billion even after a recent 15% decline, a sign of resilience. This is because liquidity rotates across venues like Kamino, Raydium, and Jupiter, with daily volumes often exceeding $900 million.

The internal rotation of liquidity is reshaping how trades are routed across Solana. Jupiter controlled about 82% of aggregator flow in March, but its share has since slipped to the lowest level since November.

This shift happens because execution quality and pricing efficiency are becoming more important than brand dominance. Increased competition among routers slightly fragments flows but keeps capital within the same ecosystem.

This growing routing competition explains why Solana’s liquidity reacts differently during stress. TVL fell to $5.55 billion, down over 10% in seven days following a $285 million exploit, but net losses excluding the hack were near 8%.

Meanwhile, Ethereum TVL rose by about 3% to $54.15 billion, and BSC gained 2.25% to $5.36 billion. This indicates capital shifts across ecosystems rather than leaving DeFi entirely.

Solana still holds second place in TVL rankings, meaning liquidity remains within reach. The presence of competitive routing and multiple venues helps absorb shocks, allowing users to reposition without abandoning the network.
