The TOKEN2049 crypto conference in Dubai has been postponed to April 2027. Originally scheduled for April 2026, the organizers stated the decision was made to ensure safety and quality after regional security incidents prompted industry evacuations. The move reverses a recent commitment to proceed despite the conflict.
One of the largest annual crypto-oriented events, TOKEN2049 in Dubai, has been rescheduled for next year. According to Wu Blockchain, the conference will now be held on April 21 and 22, 2027.
The event was originally supposed to take place in April this year. This decision was not taken lightly.
“Preparations for the event were progressing strongly. However, ensuring the global crypto industry can gather safely, and at the scale and quality that define TOKEN2049, remains our top priority,” according to an official statement. The postponement follows reports of attacks in Dubai involving Iranian drones.
The move comes just days after organizers said the conference would go forward as planned. This earlier stance was noted as other conferences paused amid growing regional conflict.
