Bitcoin price remained under pressure on Thursday, September 3, 2026, after rejecting a key bearish order block. The token traded at $77,739, up 0.31% in the past day, but down 1.24% over the week, according to CoinMarketCap. A popular analyst warned that failure to reclaim $83,000 could expose lower levels, while another chartist pointed to a bullish breakout above a months-long range. Spot Bitcoin ETF inflows recorded $101.15 million on September 2, following a $236.46 million outflow the prior day. Technical indicators showed the token trading above both its 20-day and 50-day exponential moving averages, indicating short-term positive momentum.
Analyst Crypto Patel highlighted that Bitcoin rejected a bearish order block between $80,000 and $83,000, marked on August 25, and subsequently fell 6.5% from $81,500 toward $76,200. Patel stated that “failure to reclaim $83,000 on a higher-time-frame close could expose $70,000, $65,000, and $60,000.” Further weakness could bring $50,000 to $40,000 into view, while a close above $83,000 would invalidate the bearish setup.
Another analyst, Alex Marzell, shared a more constructive view, noting that BTC broke above a months-long range between $65,000 and $70,500. He described the sequence as a liquidity sweep, fakeout, breakout, and expansion, with the token advancing toward $78,000 and the next major liquidity zone around $83,000 to $84,000. Holding above $70,500 would keep the upside target active, while a return to the range could turn the breakout into a fakeout.
According to SoSoValue data, spot Bitcoin ETF inflows totaled $101.15 million on September 2, partially reversing the prior day’s $236.46 million outflow. Cumulative inflows stand at $54.71 billion, with total assets at $97.22 billion. Nine positive sessions from August 17–27 drew about $3.04 billion, but the four most recent sessions have seen net outflows of $120.42 million, while ETF trading volumes fell to $1.73 billion.
Based on TradingView data, the 20-day exponential moving average (EMA) is $74,925, and the 50-day EMA is $70,555, with Bitcoin trading above both. The 100-day EMA is $69,360, and the 200-day EMA is $72,384, though the averages have not formed a complete bullish alignment. The Bollinger Band’s middle line sits at $74,602, with an upper band of $86,382 and a lower band of $62,821, indicating positive momentum within a wide volatility range.
