BTC ETFs Recover with $75M Net Inflows; Ethereum ETFs Lead at $105M

-

Spot Bitcoin ETFs endured a turbulent week, opening with a $424.66 million net outflow on Monday before recovering with four consecutive days of inflows totaling $500.25 million, according to data from SoSoValue. The funds posted a net weekly inflow of $75.67 million, extending their recovery into a second week after an eight-week losing streak that saw over $8 billion in cumulative withdrawals. Meanwhile, spot Ethereum ETFs outperformed their Bitcoin counterparts, attracting $105.44 million in net inflows for the week. Both fund categories had experienced prolonged outflows starting in mid-May before reversing course in mid-July.

After a violent eight-week streak of substantial withdrawals, spot Bitcoin ETFs extended their recovery with another green performance in mid-July. The funds tracking the largest altcoin, however, managed to beat the market leader in terms of weekly net inflows.

Monday began with a massive $424.66 million net outflow from the spot BTC ETFs, the single-largest withdrawal since June 26. According to data from SoSoValue, $181 million entered the funds on Tuesday, followed by $107.8 million on Wednesday, $79.15 million on Thursday, and $132.30 million on Friday.

The week ended with net inflows of $75.67 million, though these numbers remain modest compared to the mass exodus from mid-May through early July. Investors pulled out $1 billion or more in five out of eight weeks, with the week ending June 26 registering the second-highest net outflows of $1.79 billion.

The cumulative total net inflows for BTC funds fell from $59.34 billion to $51.08 billion before recovering to $51.35 billion as of July 17. The spot Ethereum ETFs gained $105.44 million last week, building on the previous week’s $84.42 million.

Monday saw $15.41 million in outflows from ETH funds, with Thursday adding $28.04 million in net outflows. Inflows of $58.34 million on Tuesday, $53.83 million on Wednesday, and $36.73 million on Friday offset those losses.

The Ethereum counterparts had also endured an eight-week red streak, losing over $1.1 billion in cumulative total net inflows. The figure dropped from $12.09 billion to $10.89 billion before rising to $11.08 billion after two consecutive green weeks in mid-July.
