Cardano ADA Nears $0.25, DeFi Audit Finds 8 Core Gaps

-

Cardano’s (ADA) price climbed 7.55% in a single day to $0.2451, nearing the $0.25 resistance level. On-chain volume, measured by On-Balance Volume (OBV), recovered to approximately 45.62 billion, indicating renewed buying pressure. However, a recent audit of the Cardano DeFi ecosystem conducted by AlphaGrowth under the PRIME project scored the network 51.3 out of 100, identifying eight core infrastructure gaps including bridging, wallets, and liquidity management. The ecosystem’s total value locked (TVL) remains around $60 million. Derivatives open interest rose to about $520 million, signaling increased leverage. The sustainability of Cardano’s price momentum may depend on whether market activity translates into stronger on-chain DeFi participation.

Cardano price rose 7.55% over the past day, reaching $0.2451 as it approaches the $0.25 resistance level. Trading above the Bollinger middle band at $0.2139 and above the upper band at $0.2383, the upward breakout does not guarantee the rally will continue. The On-Balance Volume (OBV) recovered to about 45.62 billion from earlier September lows, indicating trading volume has accompanied the price move.

According to AlphaGrowth, an audit under the PRIME project evaluated Cardano across 25 DeFi sectors. The network scored 51.3 out of 100, with Ethereum at 96.3 and Sui at 72.3 under the same framework. The audit “identified 8 core gaps”, including bridging, wallets, money markets, concentrated liquidity, and automated liquidity management. The PRIME project aims to improve protocol readiness, incentives, and on-chain liquidity.

Data from CoinGlass shows derivatives open interest near $520 million, while trading volume remains elevated. Rising open interest alongside price increases suggests more positions are being opened, potentially increasing market leverage and the risk of rapid liquidations.

DeFiLlama data indicates the current total value locked (TVL) on Cardano is approximately $60 million, with DEX volume and active-address activity showing fluctuations. The PRIME project seeks to achieve significant TVL growth within 12 months by improving liquidity and DeFi depth. Whether Cardano’s market momentum proves sustainable will depend on accompanying on-chain activity and liquidity.
