Cardano ADA Surges 8% as Bitcoin Hits Monthly High Above $66K

Cardano’s ADA led major cryptocurrency gains over the past 24 hours, surging over 8% to a local peak of $0.175 as the broader market rebounded. Bitcoin recovered swiftly from a Monday morning dip below $64,000, climbing to a monthly high of $66,300 before settling above $66,000. The total crypto market capitalization rose by $70 billion to $2.320 trillion, a level not seen in a month.


Bitcoin’s price rebounded after a Monday morning dip below $64,000, gaining over two grand to reach a monthly peak above $66,000. The asset hit its highest price since June 17 at $66,300 before settling at over $66,000, with its market cap at $1.330 trillion.

The altcoin space turned green as Ethereum challenged the $1,950 level before a potential run to $2,000. BNB neared $580, while XRP tested the $1.13 resistance, and Cardano’s native token ADA stole the show from larger caps.

Cardano’s ADA was among the top performers, exploding by over 8% and trading at a local peak of $0.175. Other impressive daily increases were evident from BCH, UNI, AAVE, DOT, and WLD, while ONDO rocketed by over 14% and sat close to $0.40.

The previous business week began with Bitcoin dropping below $62,000 after pricing in weekend geopolitical events. The bulls stepped up after favorable CPI data for June, pushing the asset to $65,500 for the first time in three weeks.

Bitcoin’s progress stalled at $65,500 before it dipped to $62,500 by Friday. The bulls initiated an immediate recovery during the weekend, climbing back to $64,000.

Bitcoin attempted to take down $65,000 on Sunday but was stopped, dropping again on Monday morning to a low of $63,750. The cryptocurrency quickly rebounded, jumping past $65,500 before another leg up drove it to its highest price in over a month.

Bitcoin’s dominance over the altcoins is also on the rise, currently at 57.2%. The cumulative market capitalization of all crypto assets climbed to $2.320 trillion for the first time in a month, representing a $70 billion increase in a single day.
