Ethereum ETFs See Nearly $700M Inflows, Erase Losses

-

Spot Bitcoin and Ethereum exchange-traded funds (ETFs) recorded strong net inflows during the week ending Sept. 26, 2026, which pushed Bitcoin ETFs back into positive territory year-to-date. Bitcoin ETFs attracted $2.39 billion for the week, erasing nearly $5.5 billion in year-to-date losses recorded after June, according to data. Ethereum ETFs also had a strong week, attracting nearly $700 million, which boosted cumulative net inflows to $13.94 billion. Despite the influx of institutional capital, Bitcoin remains 40% below its all-time high, though analyst Crypto Rover noted that “institutional money is accumulating like never before.”

Spot Bitcoin ETFs attracted $2.39 billion in net inflows for the week, according to reported data. The Monday numbers set a multi-month record with investors inserting almost $1 billion in a single session. Inflows declined by week’s end but remained positive, with $714.75 million on Tuesday, $346.98 million on Wednesday, $190.65 million on Thursday, and $134.47 million on Friday.

The weekly total pushed cumulative net inflows to $57.55 billion and turned year-to-date figures green. This shift followed a painful June that saw a record $4.51 billion in outflows and a May with $2.43 billion in net outflows. At that point, the funds were nearly $5.5 billion in the red for the year.

However, the narrative shifted in July with a modest $172 million in net inflows. Activity skyrocketed in August and September, with the ETFs attracting $3.52 billion in August and $2.7 billion so far in September. As a result, 2026 numbers now stand at $925 million in the green.

Despite these flows, Bitcoin remains 40% from its all-time high. As Crypto Rover stated, “Bitcoin is still more than 40% away from its all time high…Institutional money is accumulating like never before and has shortened the bear market dramatically.”

The spot Ethereum ETFs also enjoyed a strong week, gaining almost $270 million on Monday. The funds saw green-only days throughout the week, ending with $689.88 million in net inflows. This offset all losses from the previous business week, pushing cumulative net inflows to a multi-month high of $13.94 billion. Meanwhile, the underlying asset touched $2,800 during the week but now trades at around $100 lower.
