Ethereum retests multi-year resistance line; Crypto Patel maps the path to $5K, $10K, $15K

-

Ethereum (ETH) is testing a multi-year resistance line for only the third time, marking what analyst Crypto Patel calls the “biggest breakout setup yet.” Patel’s chart targets $3,270 and $4,892 as first steps, then $5,500, before a long path toward $10,000 and $15,000. ETH traded near $2,500, down 44% year-over-year but up 31% over the past month. Trading volume jumped 28% to nearly $16.3 billion. Meanwhile, analyst NoName warns of a possible Wave 4 correction, citing first support at $2,324 and a potential drop to $2,112–$2,222 if that level fails.

Ethereum (ETH) is retesting a resistance line it has only reached twice before, in 2021 and again around 2025. Trader Crypto Patel stated this makes it “the biggest breakout setup yet” for the cryptocurrency.

In a chart posted Friday, Patel mapped a path toward $5,000, then $10,000, then $15,000 if the line breaks. ETH was trading near $2,500, still less than half its all-time high.

Patel explained that ETH is retesting a multi-year resistance zone for the third time after holding its long-term accumulation support. The same horizontal resistance capped the price at the 2021 peak and again near 2025.

Below it, a wide band called the “Best Accumulation Zone” has caught every major pullback since. The chart marks $3,270 and $4,892 as the first two levels, with $5,500 also flagged, before the path opens toward $10,000 and then $15,000.

At the time of writing, spot ETH changed little in 24 hours but was down roughly 44% from a year ago. Over one month, it showed gains of 31%, though that kept it 50% below its August 2025 all-time high.

Trading volume jumped close to 28% in the past 24 hours to near $16.3 billion. That signals fresh activity around the level Patel is watching.

Analyst NoName offered a different perspective, noting that ETH had just finished a Wave 3 impulsive move. They wrote that “the next phase of the structure should be a Wave 4 correction.”

NoName pointed to $2,324 as the first support to watch. A bounce toward $2,784 to $2,966 is possible if buyers defend it, or a drop to the $2,112 to $2,222 zone if it fails. Only a daily close under $2,050 would scrap the setup entirely.
