Data from Coinglass showed LTC open interest fell by 3.24% to $355.05 million. Trading volume also declined by 21.05%, settling at $274.22 million, suggesting reduced market participation and weaker short-term momentum.

Crypto analyst Javon Marks highlighted that the Litecoin price appears to be preparing for an extended base formation. This environment has been compared to Litecoin’s significant breakout move in 2021, as mentioned in a recent analysis.

“The bulls now have a target of $388 in play, which is an indication that there is more than 543% room for growth in terms of profit from current prices.” This growing confidence in Litecoin coincides with increased investment interest in established altcoins.

Technical analysis indicates Litecoin price action remained in a tight consolidation zone between $52.00 and $56.00 before a brief early-May breakout. The price broke through the 20 and 50 Exponential Moving Averages (EMAs), reaching near $63.00, but could not breach the 100 EMA barrier.

Bearish sentiment currently prevails with the long-term 200-day EMA positioned at $67.04. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) crossed below its midline to 48.06, indicating sellers have taken charge as the Litecoin price struggles to maintain upward momentum.
