NEAR Protocol (NEAR) has broken above key resistance, trading at $2.42 with an 11% daily surge, signaling renewed bullish momentum. Analyst Michael van de Poppe noted the asset’s Bitcoin trading pair breaking a resistance area, pointing to improving relative performance and a potential target of $3–$4. Derivatives data shows trading volume rose 34.88% to $1.05 billion and open interest increased 13.99% to $630.13 million. Technical indicators confirm strong buying pressure, but the RSI at 74.88 suggests overbought conditions may trigger short-term consolidation before further upside. NEAR Protocol (NEAR) is trading at $2.42 with a 24-hour volume of $667.21 million and a market capitalization of $3.16 billion, after an 11.04% surge. The crypto analyst Michael van de Poppe revealed that the NEAR price is showing renewed strength as its Bitcoin trading pair broke above a key resistance area.
The breakout signals that buyers are gaining control, and if momentum persists, further upside is expected. A target range of $3–$4 has emerged, contingent on NEAR maintaining its breakout and not slipping back below key support.
Coinglass data pointed out that trading volumes increased by 34.88% to $1.05 billion, while open interest rose 13.99% to $630.13 million, indicating new capital entering the derivatives market.
According to TradingView chart analysis, the NEAR price broke out from an August low of $1.58 and now trades above all its 20-, 50-, 100-, and 200-day EMAs. The RSI (14) has climbed to 74.88, exceeding the overbought threshold of 70, while the moving average stands at 60.23.
This confirms strong buying pressure but also suggests a potential correction or consolidation ahead. Meanwhile, NEAR Protocol highlighted that the network earned a place on a tech growth assets list from Roundtable and TheStreet, becoming the only blockchain project among the top 15 assets based on team, traction, and innovation.
