Nvidia (NVDA) stock price is rallying 7.83% in pre-market trading after the company released its second quarter earnings report for fiscal 2027. The stock closed 1.59% lower on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, but the earnings report has driven a gain of 16.42 points.
Nvidia’s quarterly revenue of $96.22 billion exceeded the estimated $92.17 billion. Revenue nearly doubled from $46.7 billion a year earlier. Adjusted earnings per share came in at $2.22, above the $2.10 expected by analysts.
According to CFO Colette Kress, Nvidia’s revenue for fiscal 2028 could surge by 70%. The company maintains a strong outlook for the next quarter, anticipating revenue to hit $108.0 billion, plus or minus 2%, in the third quarter of fiscal 2027. GAAP and non-GAAP gross margins are expected to be 74.0%, plus or minus 50 basis points.
Nvidia also saw backing from several high-profile names during the second quarter. The company partnered with Apollo, BlackRock, Blackstone, Brookfield, Goldman Sachs and KKR to mobilize over $500 billion of third-party capital for AI infrastructure. SpaceX CEO Elon Musk stated during SpaceX’s earnings call that the company will build exclusively on Nvidia chips, adding that Nvidia hardware is currently the best for AI computation.
While Nvidia has once again outperformed analyst expectations, investors have cooled on the stock. Nonetheless, Wall Street remains bullish on NVDA, citing its strong position in the AI data center and chip industry.
