Bitcoin fell below $64,000 on Friday after a failed attempt to hold $67,000. The asset had peaked at $67,000 earlier this week before facing an immediate rejection, dipping to $64,750 on Thursday.
A brief recovery on Friday morning was followed by another rejection. US President Trump warned the EU about a new set of tariffs, which contributed to a $2,000 drop. Bitcoin’s market capitalization has dipped to $1.285 trillion.
Most larger-cap altcoins are also in the red on a daily scale. Ethereum has slipped to $1,850, XRP is fighting for the $1.10 support level, and ZEC dropped by 6%.
Worldcoin is the poorest performer today, plunging by over 10% to $0.34. This decline comes after the project as stated announced a successful fundraiser for $52.5 million to expand its World ID infrastructure.
Other major losers include ONDO, down 7%, and LIT, down 6.3%. ZEC dropped 6% and has decisively broken below the $500 mark.
Larger-cap altcoins are down 1-2%. Ethereum is below $1,860, XRP is beneath $1.10, Solana is down to $74, and HYPE has slipped to $57. Monero is among the few altcoins charting gains, rising 2.4% to $365.
The total crypto market cap has lost approximately $20 billion daily. Data shows it is down to $2.280 trillion.
