Pump.fun’s $322M revenue, token buyback fuels bullish defense of 50-day MA

-

Pump.fun generated $322 million in revenue in 2026, ranking second among crypto projects according to a CoinGecko report. Hyperliquid led with $429 million. Together they accounted for 22.1% of the $3.40 billion tracked onchain revenue. Pump.fun’s revenue comes primarily from token creation and trading fees on its memecoin launchpad. The project also conducted a 240 million PUMP token buyback, reducing supply. PUMP’s price tested and rebounded from the 50-day moving average at $0.00384, maintaining bullish momentum since early July. The token recently pulled back from a local high of $0.0054 to $0.0034 but showed recovery.

Pump.fun was the second highest revenue-generating crypto project with $322 million in revenue so far in 2026, according to a CoinGecko report. Hyperliquid led the ranking with $429 million. Together, these two accounted for 22.10% of the $3.40 billion in all onchain revenue tracked this year. Pump.fun’s share comes almost entirely from token creation and trading fees on its memecoin launchpad.

Apart from the sizeable revenue, Pump.fun also boasted increased usage and reduced supply. The 240 million PUMP token buyback contributed to the supply decline, boosting token value due to scarcity.

PUMP bulls defended the 50-day Moving Average at $0.00384, where the token price rebounded once again. The 20- and 50-day MAs highlighted the altcoin’s bullish momentum, in place since early July. A pullback from the $0.0054 local high to $0.0034 occurred, and PUMP has seen a bullish reaction over the past ten days. While the OBV was rising toward the August highs, the CMF remained in negative territory at -0.13, indicating high intraday volatility and weak buying pressure compared to last month’s rally. Despite the CMF reading, the daily trend remained bullish, and the $0.00225 swing high from May was comfortably breached, taking PUMP prices to highs not seen since October 2025.

On the 4-hour chart, the latest bullish impulse move was used to plot Fibonacci retracement levels. The $0.00325–$0.00371 golden pocket was tested and defended two weeks ago, but bulls could not push past the $0.00464 local range high. Swing traders can look to take profits at the range highs and wait for a dip back into the golden pocket to buy PUMP, or alternatively, a breakout past the range could also be a buying opportunity.
