The cryptocurrency market saw a broad altcoin rally on Saturday morning. Official Trump (TRUMP) surged 62% and reentered the top 100 altcoins by market capitalization. Zcash (ZEC) jumped 40% to $820. Ripple’s XRP broke past $1.65, overtaking BNB, after recovering from below $1.00 earlier in the week. Bitcoin rebounded from $76,200 to trade above $78,000, after nearly touching $80,000 on Friday. The cumulative market cap of all crypto assets rose by $100 billion in the past day to $2.760 trillion, adding $500 billion since Wednesday. Multiple altcoins posted double-digit gains.
Ripple’s XRP has reemerged from the $1.00 support and skyrocketed past $1.65 for the first time in months, surpassing BNB in market capitalization. It dipped below $1.00 less than a week ago and fought for that level for days, but the broader market’s rebound on Wednesday helped it recover significantly, soaring by over 65% since then.
Bitcoin rebounded from a dip to $76,200 and now sits well above $78,000. The primary cryptocurrency led the charge on Wednesday when it exploded from under $65,000 to $70,000, later surging to $72,000 and $75,000. On Friday it came inches away from tapping $80,000 for the first time in over three months, but slipped to just over $76,000 before defending that level.
Official Trump (TRUMP) has gone on a tear, skyrocketing by over 60% in the past day and reentering the top 100 altcoins by market cap. Zcash (ZEC) stole the show with a 40% surge to $820. Ethereum reclaimed the $2,500 level after another 7% pump. SOL, HYPE, DOGE, ADA, LINK, XLM, BCH, CC, and LTC also posted double-digit gains on the day.
The cumulative market cap of all crypto assets added another $100 billion daily, and $500 billion since Wednesday, reaching $2.760 trillion. Bitcoin’s market cap stands at $1.575 trillion, while its dominance over altcoins has been reduced slightly from 57.9% to 57.1%.
