Former NBA champion Scottie Pippen has revealed a watchlist of cryptocurrency tokens as he explores portfolio diversification. The Chicago Bulls legend stated that Bitcoin remains his primary investment. However, he is actively monitoring Shiba Inu, Dogecoin, XRP, and Cardano’s ADA, among other major altcoins.
Former NBA star Scottie Pippen, a six-time champion with the Chicago Bulls, disclosed he is building a cryptocurrency watchlist. He revealed that Shiba Inu token is now under his consideration for a potential future investment.
Pippen took to social media platform X to share his evolving strategy. “Bitcoin is my #1. But I’m building my watch list. What coins are you watching?” he wrote.
He elaborated on the list of tokens he is monitoring closely for diversification. “I got my picks, ETH, SOL, BNB, XRP, BALL, ADA, DOGE, SHIB, LINK, and CRO,” he stated.
The list features two prominent meme currencies, Dogecoin and Shiba Inu, alongside leading altcoins. An exception is the token Game 5 Ball (BALL), inspired by the Bulls’ first championship.
Pippen also engaged his followers for their insights on the market. “What else you got? Drop your crypto picks,” he asked in his post.
The announcement suggests Pippen could publicly announce an entry into Shiba Inu if he chooses to invest. His interest highlights the ongoing attention meme coins receive from high-profile investors.
Market observers note that meme currencies can deliver significant volatility compared to major assets. The post did not specify any investment timeline or confirmed capital allocation.
