Network usage remained strong in August. Solana saw 1.32 billion non-vote transactions over the week from August 17 to August 23, setting a new seven-day record. SOL is currently around $96.73, down from recent highs.

Decentralized exchange volume on Solana reached nearly $20.14 billion over seven days, growing by 103% compared to the previous week. DefiLlama data indicated 109 million transactions and 2.7 million active addresses during the day ending on August 25.

Solana’s stablecoin supply is nearly $15.94 billion, with USDC comprising 44.95% of the total amount. Higher liquidity levels of stablecoins can be useful for DeFi activity.

The growth extends beyond DeFi and trading. RWA.xyz reported that Solana’s distributed real-world asset value reached nearly $3.97 billion on August 25, increasing 11.81% over 30 days. The platform tracked 1,243 assets, while Solana’s RWA value had stood at approximately $3.73 billion at the end of July.

The network added roughly $240 million in distributed RWA value between the end of July and August 25. Across tracked blockchains, distributed RWA value reached $38.18 billion, with tokenized U.S. government debt representing approximately $15.64 billion.

Solana’s stronger on-chain metrics emerged as SOL regained the $100 level for the first time since February. The token’s roughly 40% eight-day advance occurred alongside broader demand for risk assets. As one observer noted, “Record 4.2B transactions in July + multi-week high DEX volumes. High activity usually precedes sustained moves, not tops. When usage and price rise together, the trend has more fuel.”
