White House Registers aliens.gov Domain Amid Trump UFO Disclosure Push

-

The Executive Office of the President registered the domain aliens.gov on Wednesday, signaling a potential move by the Trump administration to follow up on its pledge to release government files on UFOs and alien life. The action comes after a viral clip of Barack Obama mentioning aliens prompted Trump to announce he would direct agencies to identify and release related records. The Pentagon’s investigating office has over 2,000 active cases, but officials expect no new revelations from any disclosure.

The White House registered the domain aliens.gov early Wednesday, though the site currently sits empty. The move was flagged by a domain-monitoring bot and followed a report on the registration.

This registration follows President Trump’s post on Truth Social last month stating he would direct the Defense Department and other agencies to begin identifying and releasing all government files related to alien life and UFOs. That announcement was triggered by a viral podcast clip where former President Barack Obama said aliens are “real,” which he later clarified referred only to statistical probability.

When questioned by a reporter aboard Air Force One, Trump stated, “I don’t know if they’re real or not. I don’t have an opinion on it.” He then suggested he might declassify information, adding, “We know illegal aliens. Yeah. Illegal. Only illegals.” Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth responded to Trump’s post with an alien and saluting emoji.

The Pentagon’s All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) currently has over 2,000 active cases on unidentified aerial phenomena. Former AARO director Sean Kirkpatrick told Scientific American he expects any file release to contain “no new revelations.”

Some critics, including Republican congressman Thomas Massie, have suggested the UFO push is a distraction from the unfinished Epstein files release. The purpose of the aliens.gov domain remains unclear, but its registration signals a forthcoming action from the administration.
