Ripple’s XRP surged 70% in 72 hours last week, climbing from $1.00 to $1.70, before settling near $1.50. The rally followed multiple positive developments: FedNow reportedly enabled payments through Ripple tokens after integration with Volante, Gemini Singapore allowed XRP deposits and withdrawals on the XRP Ledger, and XRPL active addresses soared over 650% to 356,000. Spot XRP ETFs recorded their best weekly inflows since May at nearly $40 million, pushing cumulative flows to a new all-time high of $1.55 billion. Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse noted after two Washington meetings that all parties want clear crypto regulation, likely from the CLARITY Act.
The crypto market landscape for Ripple has changed dramatically in less than a week. XRP had been struggling to hold the $1.00 support level before a Wednesday afternoon market resurrection.
FedNow Payments has reportedly enabled payments through Ripple’s tokens after integration with Volante. FedNow is an instant payments rail in fiat USD, while Volante provides connectivity to Ripple for cross-border services.
Gemini co-founder Tyler Winklevoss announced users in Singapore can now deposit and withdraw XRP through the native XRP Ledger network. Data from Santiment showed XRPL active addresses surged over 650% from 47,180 to 356,000, which analyst Ali Martinez stated “typically signals a sharp increase in network participation.”
Spot XRP ETFs attracted nearly $40 million in net inflows last week, their best performance since May. Cumulative flows hit an all-time high of $1.55 billion, with Bitwise’s XRP fund leading.
Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse attended both the White House Crypto Summit and CFTC’s Innovation Advisory Committee. He noted all parties, including TradFi, want clear regulation from the CLARITY Act.
XRP skyrocketed from $1.00 to $1.70 by Saturday morning, a 70% surge in under 72 hours, driven by whale accumulation of roughly 400 million tokens. The asset faced “heavy resistance and instant rejection” at $1.70, according to trader CasiTrades.
“So now XRP needs to prove it can actually sustain this rally,” CasiTrades stated. “We need price to break above the macro 0.618 and then come back to successfully test that level as support.”
