Bitcoin’s price rose to $65,400 on Friday following the weaker-than-expected U.S. jobs report, which increased expectations for a rate hike delay in September. It has since lost some traction and traded sideways near $65,000.
Over the past week, BTC experienced multiple swings, dipping to $62,200 on Monday before climbing to $64,000 within hours. It later reached $65,000 on Wednesday amid hopes for a U.S.-Iran deal, but those hopes faded.
The token slipped toward $64,000 on Friday morning after a vote on the CLARITY Act was delayed again. The weak jobs report then triggered the spike to $65,400, but it failed to push higher.
CRO slumped more than 12% to a multi-year low well under $0.05 after Trump Media, the company behind Truth Social, canceled its partnership with Crypto.com. HYPE fell over 3% daily, while ADA dipped below $0.20 following a recent rally.
XMR gained 3%, and DOGE, SOL, ETH, and BNB posted insignificant gains. BEAT skyrocketed over 18% daily as its volatile ride continued. Pi Network’s token jumped 5% again, trading above the key resistance level of $0.09, with community sentiment remaining bullish.
The total cryptocurrency market cap stayed around $2.3 trillion, showing little change over the past 24 hours.
