Binance will temporarily suspend TRX deposits and withdrawals on August 13 for scheduled wallet maintenance on the Tron Network, a process expected to take approximately one hour. The exchange will also delist several trading pairs and tokens on August 14, including APT/BTC and AR/BTC, as they no longer meet listing standards. This follows a similar TRX maintenance halt less than a month ago, which concluded without reported issues.
Binance, the world’s leading crypto exchange, will briefly halt certain trading services this week for a scheduled upgrade. The company will conduct wallet maintenance for the Tron Network on August 13, suspending TRX deposits and withdrawals for about one hour.
The exchange assured that trading of tokens on the Tron Network will not be impacted. It promised to handle all technical requirements involving users, stating: “Deposits and withdrawals for token(s) on the aforementioned network will be reopened once the network is deemed to be stable. No further announcement will be posted.”
Less than a month ago, Binance performed similar maintenance on the Tron Network without any complaints or reports of complications. The exchange has taken such action across other ecosystems, including Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Cardano (ADA).
Binance will also delist trading pairs on August 14 based on its latest analysis, as stated. These include APT/BTC, AR/BTC, A/USDC, BTTC/TRY, CYBER/USDC, LPT/BTC, and WAL/FDUSD.
The affected tokens did not witness major volatility following the news. However, at the start of August, Binance triggered double-digit price collapses for Across Protocol (ACX), Hashflow (HFT), PIVX, Vulcan Forged PYR (PYR), Vanar (VANRY), and Viction (VIC) after completely withdrawing support.
A similar reaction occurred at the end of June when the exchange delisted Alchemix (ALCX), Ardor (ARDR), NFPrompt Token (NFP), and Marlin (POND). Additionally, Binance will delist and cease all margin trading pairs for BitTorrent (BTT) and Poweledger (POWR) on August 14.
