Binance to Delist Multiple Trading Pairs on September 18, Coins Dip

-

Binance will delist multiple trading pairs on September 18, including cross-margin pairs ENJ/USDC, GENIUS/USDC, CVX/USDC, and VANA/USDC, as well as isolated-margin pair GENIUS/USDC. The exchange will also terminate spot trading pairs BREV/USDC, COOKIE/USDC, LA/USDC, and QNT/USDC. Most affected tokens have posted daily losses, but the declines appear driven more by a broader market correction following the CLARITY Act failure than by Binance’s actions. Separately, Binance issued a scam warning about phishing texts that ask users to click malicious links. The company emphasized it never requests verification via text messages.

The world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, Binance, will remove several trading pairs across its margin and spot sections on September 18. The company conducts periodic reviews of all listed trading pairs and delists those that no longer meet criteria such as adequate liquidity, solid trading volume, and development activity.

The affected cross-margin pairs are ENJ/USDC, GENIUS/USDC, CVX/USDC, and VANA/USDC, alongside the isolated-margin pair GENIUS/USDC. On the same day, Binance will terminate access to the spot trading pairs BREV/USDC, COOKIE/USDC, LA/USDC, and QNT/USDC.

The exchange clarified: “The delisting of a spot trading pair does not affect the availability of the tokens on Binance Spot. Users can still trade the spot trading pair’s base and quote assets on other trading pair(s) that are available on Binance.” Most of the involved cryptocurrencies have posted daily losses, but Binance does not appear to be the main culprit.

The primary factor may be the overall market correction caused by the failure of the CLARITY Act. Binance can trigger major price crashes when it terminates all trading services for certain tokens, as occurred in August when it delisted tokens like Across Protocol (ACX), Hashflow (HFT), PIVX (PIVX), Vulcan Forged PYR (PYR), Vanar (VANRY), and Viction (VIC). All affected coins plunged by double digits after that announcement.

In addition to platform updates, Binance recently issued a critical scam alert about phishing attacks targeting crypto investors. Attackers send fake text messages that appear official, such as “Your account settings were changed” or “Suspicious login detected,” to trick users into clicking malicious links that could result in painful losses.

The company emphasized: “Remember: Binance will never ask you to tap a link in a text message to ‘verify’ or ‘secure’ your account.” It also recommended enabling the Withdrawal Address Whitelist and the Anti-Phishing Code in security settings to improve protection.
