Bitcoin traded near $65,000 after a volatile week that saw the asset drop below $62,200 before recovering. The broader cryptocurrency market showed mixed performance, with BNB reclaiming the $600 level. PUMP emerged as a notable gainer over the past 24 hours, while CRO attempted to recover from recent losses. Total market capitalization declined by approximately $25 billion to $2.275 trillion.

Bitcoin’s price action remained subdued over the weekend, with the asset barely moving from the $65,000 range and currently trading slightly below that level. The business week began negatively for the primary cryptocurrency after it had recovered some ground during the previous weekend.

The recovery followed the cancellation of planned attacks against Iran, which helped Bitcoin approach $64,000. However, the asset was quickly rejected on Monday morning and slipped to $62,200.

Bulls intercepted the move, helping Bitcoin rebound to $64,000 by Tuesday morning. Gradual price increases followed over the next few days, allowing Bitcoin to reach $65,000, though it was stopped there.

A weak jobs report and another setback for the CLARITY Act in the US Senate drove a rally on Friday that pushed the asset to $65,400. Bitcoin could not continue climbing and retreated to $65,000, where it remained throughout Saturday and Sunday.

Bitcoin’s market capitalization stands at around $1.3 trillion, with its dominance over altcoins above 57%, as data shows. Most larger-cap altcoins remained sideways, though BNB managed to reclaim the $600 psychological mark.

Solana reclaimed the $76 level following a 2% increase, while ZEC rose by nearly 3% to approach $220. ETH stood above $1,900 despite the mixed market conditions, while XRP, HYPE, and DOGE experienced minor losses.

PUMP emerged as a notable gainer over the past 24 hours, while CRO neared $0.05 again after erasing some of its previous day’s losses. The total cumulative market capitalization of all crypto assets slipped by approximately $25 billion to $2.275 trillion.
