Bitcoin ETFs See Best Week Since April with $853M Inflows, Ethereum ETFs Extend Streak

-

Spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) attracted more than $800 million in the first full week of August, marking their best weekly performance since mid-April. This surge in inflows coincided with Bitcoin’s price rising from a monthly low of $62,200 on Monday to over $65,000 by Friday. The weekly total of $853.54 million, according to data from SoSoValue, exceeded the combined inflows of the previous four weeks. Meanwhile, spot Ethereum ETFs extended their consecutive weekly winning streak to five, pulling in nearly $245 million during the same period, as Ethereum’s price climbed roughly 3% to trade above $1,920.

After a shaky July that saw spot Bitcoin ETFs end the month with a modest net inflow of $172.43 million, the funds started August with a bang. The first full week of the month ended with $853.54 million in net inflows, representing the best single-week performance since mid-April and the third-best of the year.

The weekly inflows were fueled by a perfect all-green streak of daily gains. Monday brought in $170 million, followed by $211.49 million on Tuesday, $244.42 million on Wednesday, $128.69 million on Thursday, and $98.85 million on Friday. This price revival was mirrored by Bitcoin, which jumped from $62,200 on Monday to $65,400 on Friday after weaker-than-expected U.S. jobs data.

Spot Ethereum ETFs also had a strong week, extending their consecutive weekly winning streak to five. After their first week of August, the funds attracted nearly $245 million, with cumulative net inflows rising from $11.21 billion to $11.46 billion. Ethereum’s price climbed roughly 3% weekly, trading above $1,920 after dipping toward $1,800 on Monday.
