Bitcoin Hits $80K, Wall Street Sees $100K by Year-End

-

Bitcoin recently broke above $80,000 before retreating to $78,000, yet Wall Street analysts remain bullish. Bernstein predicts Bitcoin will reach $125,000 by the end of this year, with a new all-time high of $150,000 by mid-2027 and $300,000 by 2029, eventually hitting $1 million by 2033. Standard Chartered forecasts $100,000 by year-end, with a potential re-test of the $126,000 peak. Pantera Capital offers a long-term outlook of $740,000. The rally followed President Trump’s White House cryptocurrency event, where he suggested the U.S. may purchase large amounts of Bitcoin. The U.S. Treasury’s increased bond buybacks have also boosted liquidity, though a future refill of the Treasury’s cash account could redirect liquidity away from crypto.

Bitcoin (BTC) experienced a bullish breakout over the past week, reaching the $80,000 price level for the first time in several months. According to data, Bitcoin’s price has since fallen to the $78,000 mark in recent days.

Despite the pullback, several Wall Street analysts predict Bitcoin will exceed $100,000 by the end of this year. Bernstein forecasts Bitcoin will hit $125,000 by year-end, representing a rally of about 60% from current levels.

Bernstein further anticipates Bitcoin will reach a new all-time high of $150,000 by mid-2027 and $300,000 by 2029. The financial institution also predicts the asset will hit $1 million by 2033, following a four-year cycle trajectory.

Standard Chartered is also bullish, predicting Bitcoin will reach $100,000 by the end of the year. The firm anticipates a potential re-test of Bitcoin’s $126,000 peak.

Pantera Capital presents a long-term outlook of $740,000 for Bitcoin. The rally followed President Trump’s recent White House cryptocurrency event, where he stated the U.S. may purchase a large amount of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

Another factor behind Bitcoin’s upswing is the U.S. Treasury’s decision to increase bond buybacks. This move has increased liquidity, which may have trickled into the cryptocurrency market.

However, the U.S. Treasury will eventually need to refill its cash account, which could redirect liquidity away from the cryptocurrency market. Bitcoin could face a correction under such circumstances.
