Bitcoin Rebounds to $81.5K, Presses Key Resistance for Potential Breakout

-

Bitcoin is trading around $81.5K after a sharp recovery from the $75K support level, pressing against the key $80.5K-$82.5K resistance zone that has repeatedly capped upside attempts. A sustained daily close above $82.5K could open the path toward the next supply area between $86K and $90K, while failure risks a return to the $72.5K-$75K support region.

Bitcoin has recovered sharply from its latest pullback and is once again pressing against the upper boundary of its consolidation, trading around $81.5K. The daily chart shows the cryptocurrency consolidating after its powerful August breakout, with the latest recovery from the $75K area proving particularly strong as buyers quickly pushed the price back toward the major $80.5K-$82.5K resistance zone.

This resistance region has repeatedly capped upside attempts and remains the main obstacle preventing another bullish leg. The broader structure stays constructive as long as the $72.5K-$75K support zone is preserved, with the daily RSI rebounding above the neutral 50 area toward the mid-60s, reflecting renewed buying momentum without reaching overbought territory.

On the 4-hour timeframe, the range-bound structure is more evident, with Bitcoin rebounding aggressively from the lower boundary near $74.5K-$75K and returning directly to the $81K-$82K region. The recovery has been impulsive, particularly the latest move from around $76K toward $81K, but price has not yet produced a convincing breakout from the upper boundary.

Liquidation heatmaps from Binance show Bitcoin’s surge above $80K has pushed price into a significant concentration of liquidity around the $80K-$82K region, aligning closely with the technical resistance. Some liquidity remains immediately above the market, suggesting a decisive breakout could force additional short liquidations and potentially accelerate the move toward the rising upper trendline around $84K-$85K.

At the same time, a liquidity concentration remains below price around $74K-$75K, meaning volatility in either direction cannot be ruled out while Bitcoin remains trapped below resistance. The combination of improving momentum and price pressing against the range high puts the focus firmly on whether buyers can convert the current test into a confirmed breakout, with the $82K level serving as the pivotal point for the next directional move.
