Bitcoin surged past $84,000 on Monday, reaching an eight-month high after rebounding from a dip to $80,000. The rally came despite last week’s US Senate vote against the CLARITY Act and a Federal Reserve interest rate hike. Altcoins followed with broad gains, led by double-digit jumps in XMR, NEAR, AVAX, and others. Ethereum touched $2,700, while XRP rose to $1.45. The total crypto market cap added $70 billion in a day, reaching $2.81 trillion. Geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and the Russia-Ukraine conflict did not halt the upward momentum.
