BTC ETFs See Best Day Since January With $731M Inflows, Near $1B Week

Spot Bitcoin and Ethereum exchange-traded funds posted strong weekly inflows, with BTC ETFs attracting nearly $1 billion in the past week despite a $236.46 million net outflow on September 1. Thursday marked the best day for Bitcoin ETFs since January, adding $730.87 million. Ethereum ETFs similarly saw net inflows for eight of the past nine weeks, with cumulative totals rising sharply.


Spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded net inflows of $986.85 million for the week ending September 5, according to data from SoSoValue. The previous week had ended with a $201.81 million net outflow, but four days of inflows offset Friday’s losses, yielding a net gain of $924.48 million.

Thursday saw $730.87 million enter the funds, the largest single-day amount since January. August finished with $216.70 million in net inflows, followed by $236.46 million in net outflows on September 1. Investors shifted stance, attracting $101.15 million on Wednesday and $174.60 million on Friday.

Cumulative net inflows for Bitcoin ETFs now stand at $55.62 billion, up from a mid-August low of $51.79 billion. BlackRock’s IBIT leads with cumulative net assets exceeding $62.6 billion. Fidelity’s FBTC follows with $14.07 million, and Grayscale’s GBTC holds $10.36 billion.

Spot Ethereum ETFs also performed well, with only one red week since early July—a modest $2.26 million net outflow in mid-August. The funds gained $824.42 million in the week ending August 28 and another $218.41 million in the first week of September.

Thursday was again the strongest day for Ethereum ETFs, with $141.39 million in net inflows. Monday added $87.68 million, Tuesday $10.95 million, and Friday $26.46 million, while Wednesday saw a $48.08 million outflow. Cumulative net inflows for Ethereum ETFs rose to $13.19 billion by September 4, up from $10.89 billion in early July.
