Polkadot surges 13% as network activity, treasury, and ETF inflows drive rally

-

Polkadot (DOT) surged over 13% in the past 24 hours, outpacing the broader crypto market rally as short liquidations rose 17% to about $272 million. The gain is supported by network activity, capital inflows, and a bullish technical outlook. Monthly active addresses doubled in September to 82,900, while monthly trading volume jumped 116% to $4.70 billion. The 21Shares Polkadot ETF saw net inflows of $663,000 after two months of dormancy, and treasury net flows turned positive with $2.04 million in the past day. Technical indicators show a rising trendline support, with the Stochastic RSI rebounding from oversold territory.

Polkadot (DOT) rose more than 13% in the past 24 hours as the total crypto market rallied, with short liquidations increasing by 17% to around $272 million. The surge is not solely dependent on broader market strength, as high network activity, capital inflows, and a bullish technical outlook have been key drivers.

Network activity data from Token Terminal shows monthly active addresses doubled in September, growing from 40,000 in August to a high of 82,900, though the figure has since retraced to 80,300. Monthly token trading volume increased by 116% to $4.70 billion, and daily transactions are averaging 238,000, with a 30-day total of 7.20 million.

Capital flows turned positive this month overall. The 21Shares Polkadot ETF (TDOT) saw net inflows of $663,000 after two months of dormancy, as reported by SoSoValue, indicating institutions are gradually returning to buying TDOT. Treasury net flows turned positive after five negative days this week, with net flows surpassing $2.04 million in the past 24 hours—ten times larger than the other positive day of the week. However, weekly treasury net flows remain negative at approximately $1.59 million.

Technically, Polkadot’s price is respecting a rising trendline support on the daily timeframe, bouncing off it for the third time and appearing headed toward $1.30. The Bollinger Bands are expanding, signaling increased volatility, while the Stochastic RSI at 30 is rebounding from oversold territory, hinting at seller exhaustion. Flipping the $1.30–$1.44 zone into support would expose $1.70 and levels above $2. Conversely, a breakdown below the slanting trendline and the $0.945 horizontal support—the previous higher high—would invalidate the uptrend. The market structure remains bullish unless the pattern of higher highs and higher lows is lost.
