Ripple is deepening its presence in Korea with a new partnership that brings cross-border payment capabilities to a regional bank for the first time.
Jeonbuk Bank has become the first regional bank in Korea to utilize Ripple Payments for cross-border transfers. This is the third partnership for Ripple in Korea this year, following collaborations with K Bank and Kyobo Life Insurance.
On the technology front, RAVN Robotics has deployed its RAVN token on the XRP Ledger, adding embodied AI and tokenized equity to the ecosystem. The company focuses on AI software platforms that power machines, including drones, industrial robots, and machine perception solutions.
The impact of these developments is being observed on-chain. According to data shared on X, over the last 72 hours, just 0.16% of DEX trades used XRP as the bridge asset, indicating that adoption remains at an early stage.
However, network activity is building. The report states that 2 million payments have already been processed between AI agents on the XRP Ledger. The XRPL’s low fees and 3-5 second settlement times make it suitable for the small transactions typical of AI agent interactions.
Stablecoin liquidity on the XRP Ledger is also rising. DeFiLlama data shows that the market cap of stablecoins on the XRPL ecosystem has increased by over 8% this week, with inflows crossing $80 million and pushing total stablecoin liquidity above $1 billion.
Stablecoins can facilitate payments, DEX trading, and cross-chain settlement, further supporting the network’s utility. With institutional adoption of both stablecoins and AI payment rails rising, the XRPL’s usage in Q3 is shaping up for increased activity.
