Ripple has announced the expansion of its XRP Ledger developer kit to integrate with global payment services Stripe and its layer-1 blockchain solution Tempo. The development, detailed by Ripple developer Ajit Kulkarni in a blog post, is designed to help build AI agents that pay for data, computing, and other online services using cryptocurrencies and stablecoins. The updated kit, version 1.1, supports the machine payments protocol and the Open Wallet Standard, allowing software to access multiple wallets across blockchains through a common interface. RippleX head of product Jazzi Cooper stated the company’s goal is making XRP and its RLUSD stablecoin first-class options for developers.

Version 1.1 of the XRPL AI Starter Kit will assist the machine payments protocol, including MPP, and the Open Wallet Standard. The kit will let software access multiple wallets across blockchains through a common interface.
Ripple developer Ajit Kulkarni explained the process in a blog post, as stated elsewhere, and stressed that the XRP Ledger will provide first-class options for developers building payment services. Ripple is aggressively expanding its blockchain services to make it easier for fintech firms to navigate and use the technology.
“Our job is to make XRP and RLUSD first-class options wherever developers are building,” wrote Jazzi Cooper, RippleX head of product, as mentioned on social media. RLUSD is Ripple’s stablecoin pegged to the US dollar at a 1:1 ratio.
AI agents buying data or computing power need a currency, and the software will use RLUSD. This makes it easier for developers to plug in the payment service for both buyers and sellers.
XRP, Ripple’s native token, is trading at $1.45, with a surge of 3% in the day’s trade. The leading altcoin is gearing up to reach $1.50, a position it fell from in August.
The ongoing rise is not related to Ripple partnering with Stripe and Tempo. The leading altcoin is moving in tandem with the broader markets, which is positive as Crude oil prices have fallen below $100.
