T-REX Ledger Launches $100B Tokenized Securities Network on Polygon CDK

-

T-REX Network has launched the testnet for T-REX Ledger, a compliance-focused blockchain for tokenized securities built on Polygon’s Chain Development Kit (CDK) and Agglayer. Apex Group, which services approximately $3.5 trillion in assets, has committed $100 billion in tokenized assets onto the network by June 2027 and will serve as its first on-chain transfer agent. The ledger uses the ERC-3643 token standard for regulated securities, a framework already supporting over $32 billion in tokenized assets. Mainnet is scheduled for Q4 2026, targeting institutional real-world asset adoption by embedding compliance directly into digital assets across blockchain ecosystems.

T-REX Network announced that its T-REX Ledger testnet is now live, with a mainnet launch planned for Q4 2026. The project is built on Polygon CDK and connected through Agglayer, enabling regulated assets to move across multiple blockchain ecosystems while preserving compliance requirements.

Apex Group, which services approximately $3.5 trillion in assets, has committed to bringing $100 billion in tokenized assets onto the network by June 2027. Apex will also become the network’s first on-chain transfer agent, responsible for maintaining ownership records and compliance throughout the asset lifecycle.

T-REX Network stated: “When we decided to build T-REX Network, Polygon was the natural go-to partner for us to explain the vision, to validate the vision, and to look at how we leverage the expertise, the knowledge, and the technology that POL has been building over the years.”

Many early tokenized securities focused on digitizing assets without embedding legal requirements for ownership transfers. Wallet whitelists offered limited access controls but could not enforce investor accreditation, jurisdictional restrictions, or transfer limitations required under securities regulations.

According to T-REX Network, these shortcomings become more significant as assets move across different blockchain ecosystems. Fragmented compliance records reduce interoperability and prevent tokenized assets from delivering their full utility in regulated financial markets.

Rather than building a blockchain from scratch, T-REX Network leveraged Polygon CDK to create a dedicated compliance chain. The modular framework reduces engineering complexity while allowing settlement to finalize within seconds.

The ledger is built around ERC-3643, a token standard for regulated securities that has already been used to tokenize more than $32 billion in assets. The standard is supported by institutions including DTCC, Deloitte, ABN AMRO, and Fireblocks.

Institutional interest in tokenization has accelerated as financial firms increasingly explore blockchain settlement and digital securities. For POL, supporting T-REX Ledger expands its role within the institutional blockchain ecosystem beyond decentralized finance applications.
