Solana After-Hours Stock Trading Surges but SOL Price Demand Remains Uncertain

-

Tokenized stocks are gaining traction on Solana, with 63% of related network activity occurring after traditional market hours and over 727,000 holders recorded. While this provides a practical use case for blockchain, analysts note that network activity alone does not guarantee stronger SOL demand. Solana’s total value locked rose 6.6% to $5.86 billion, though it remains significantly below Ethereum’s $49.97 billion. Spot ETH ETFs saw over $216 million in net inflows last Friday, marking a fourth consecutive positive week. SOL’s price sits around $101, below a key trading trigger of $105.32.

Solana is attracting attention as tokenized stocks bring trading onto the blockchain outside traditional market hours. Analysis points to after-hours activity and more than 727,000 holders as notable indicators, but the central question is whether this usage can spread across the network and ultimately impact SOL’s price.

Tokenized equities offer crypto a practical use case because markets can continue trading after Wall Street closes. Data shows that 63% of tokenized-equity activity on Solana occurred after the closing bell. However, this does not by itself prove lasting demand for SOL. As one analysis states, “The decision now is whether Solana’s activity becomes durable network growth, and whether SOL’s chart begins to reflect it.”

One method of testing this broader narrative is through chain total value locked (TVL), which measures value held across decentralized applications. Solana’s TVL rose 6.6% to $5.86 billion, compared with Ethereum’s $49.97 billion after a 56% increase. Other networks, including BSC, Base, Tron, and Bitcoin, posted similar weekly gains of 6.7%, 6.3%, 6.2%, and 4.7%, respectively, still remaining well below Ethereum’s figures.

A second signal comes from Ethereum, with spot ETH ETFs recording more than $216 million in net inflows last Friday, marking a fourth consecutive week of gains. This indicates that institutional crypto demand is not limited to a single network. “A continuing inflow trend strengthens the broader adoption case,” the analysis noted, “A reversal would weaken this particular signal.”

The wider tokenization market also shows growth. Tokenized stocks such as SPY, rGOOGL, and HOODb posted large gains in market capitalization, while QQQb recorded $4.5 billion in 90-day decentralized exchange volume. Across the category, DEX volume reached $15.9 billion. “That adds weight to the 24/7 market narrative, but it is not evidence that all resulting activity will accrue to Solana,” the analyst stated.

SOL was trading around $101 at press time, having moved little over 24 hours, although trading volume reached roughly $2.4 billion, up 34.8% from the previous day. The asset is down over 3% in seven days but up nearly 35% across 30 days. The current setup calls for a long position only above $105.32, with $98.30 as the level where the upside case fails. SOL currently sits between these levels, meaning the tokenized-stock story’s impact on price remains an open question.
