Wall Street analysts currently provide a strongly bullish Micron stock forecast. The average price target across 30 analysts is $1,569.07, a 70.38% premium to recent levels, with a high estimate of $2,200 and a low of $1,100. The consensus includes 29 Buy ratings and one Hold.

Individual analyst targets vary significantly. Mizuho’s Vijay Rakesh has an Outperform rating and a $1,375 target, while UBS analyst Timothy Arcuri is more bullish at $1,625. Citigroup’s Atif Malik trimmed his target to $1,150 on August 6, and Cantor Fitzgerald’s CJ Muse sits at $2,000, the highest on the Street.

A key catalyst is the expiration of a CHIPS Act provision on December 9, 2026, which currently limits Micron’s buyback activity. The company could use an estimated $24.4 billion in net cash to retire shares. Enterprise SSD demand is also climbing, with enterprise drives making up 48% of global NAND shipments in the second quarter, up from 26% a year earlier.

Micron CEO Sanjay Mehrotra described the drivers behind the company’s fiscal Q2 2026 results as a “strong demand environment, tight industry supply” in the earnings release. Risks include a patent complaint filed by Netlist over Micron’s DDR5 products and capacity additions from Chinese rivals YMTC and CXMT.

Micron’s next earnings report is expected around September 22, with Wall Street forecasting revenue near $50.8 billion and earnings per share of $31.27.
