Arbitrum (ARB) has surged over 50% in the first week of September, significantly outperforming Ethereum’s 1.5% gain, driven by its direct revenue link to Robinhood Chain. Robinhood’s L2 network generated a record $19 million in fees this month, a 220% month-over-month increase, with 10% allocated to Arbitrum — 8% to its DAO and 2% to a developer guild. ARB also became available on Solana via Sunrise, adding a growth catalyst. With Bitcoin dominance below 60% and altcoin dominance rising, ARB is now one of the top three most searched altcoins on CryptoRank, positioning it for potential leadership in the next altcoin cycle.
As an L2 network, Robinhood’s growth has resulted in increased revenues for multiple ecosystems. However, in terms of technicals, Arbitrum has benefited the most, with its token price growing 50%+ in the first week of September compared to only 1.5% for Ethereum.
The main reason for this lies in the distribution of revenues from the Layer 2 network. Interestingly, 10% of them are allocated to the Arbitrum team, out of which 8% goes to the DAO and the remaining 2% to a developer guild that builds new features for the platform.
Given this setup, it is no surprise that growing on-chain activity on Robinhood has contributed to ARB’s rally. Robinhood’s income from fees has already totaled a record $19 million this month, marking a 220% increase compared to the previous month. Since 10% of that goes to Arbitrum, the network directly benefits from Robinhood’s rapid growth.
Robinhood Chain is also built on Ethereum, yet ETH is up just 1.5% this month compared to ARB’s 50%+ rally. This indicates Arbitrum is capturing much of the upside from Robinhood’s growing on-chain activity, raising the question of whether Arbitrum is quietly positioning itself as a leader.
Arbitrum’s revenue link to Robinhood appears to be paying off in more ways than one. In a post on X, Arbitrum declared that ARB is now available on Solana via Sunrise, meaning ARB has an additional growth catalyst thanks to access to Solana’s liquidity and user base.
The timing could not have been more perfect. ARB is currently one of the top three most searched altcoins on CryptoRank this week, with Bitcoin dominance now below 60% and altcoin dominance beginning to climb.
Against that backdrop, ARB’s weekly rally looks far from being just a Robinhood-driven run. Instead, ARB is benefiting from rising on-chain activity while also siphoning off 10% of the revenue from Robinhood Chain, giving it a strong fundamental underpinning alongside its recent price momentum.
