A roadmap outlines four major areas for cooperation: digital identification, fan engagement tools, equipment tracking, and transparent funding mechanisms. The partnership was detailed in a social media post, highlighting these foundational pillars.

Digital identity tools will provide athletes and coaches with secure, verifiable credentials to streamline certification. This system is designed to reduce fraud risks and replace paper-based records with interoperable blockchain documentation.

The Cardano Foundation stated, “The three-year roadmap aims to position COB as the global benchmark in sports innovation.” The collaboration also explores implementing IoT devices for asset and equipment tracking within sports infrastructure.

Executive workshops have already been held to discuss the project’s implementation. Pilots testing specific blockchain use cases are expected to begin in Brazil in the upcoming months.

Brazilian Olympic Committee officials said the partnership aims to strengthen trust, governance, and innovation in sports administration. Both sides emphasized the importance of leading digital transformation in the sector.

The agreement expands Cardano’s existing footprint in Brazil, where it collaborates with entities like SERPRO and the University of Brasília. Leaders clarified that the planned pilots will not include any financial products.
