Wall Street Analysts Predict AMD Stock Could Hit $600-$700 by Q4 as the Helios AI Delivers

-

Wall Street analysts have grown increasingly bullish on Advanced Micro Devices, Inc (AMD) stock, with several major firms setting price targets in the $600-$700 range. Baird holds the most optimistic outlook, predicting a price of $1,250, while KeyBanc targets $725, Wells Fargo forecasts $700, and Bernstein and Roth MKM each anticipate $650. Raymond James projects a target of $641. The company’s stock has performed strongly, even outperforming industry leader Nvidia (NVDA) over the past year. However, analysts note that revenue from the Helios AI platform may not appear until the fourth quarter of this year, potentially pushing the stock toward the $600 mark by then. Risks include Nvidia’s continued market dominance and potential interest rate hikes from the Federal Reserve.

AMD has consistently delivered stellar results over the last several quarters. The company’s stock value has also skyrocketed in the previous year, with its surge far outperforming industry heavyweight Nvidia (NVDA).

While AMD’s quarterly earnings outshone expert expectations, many were hoping for even higher figures. Many investors were hopeful that the company’s Helios AI platform will bring in higher revenue figures, but this was not the case. Analysts have said the Helios AI platform numbers could reflect in AMD’s revenue by the fourth quarter of this year, and stock prices could potentially surge to the $600 mark by then.

While AMD has proven to be a formidable player in the AI landscape, the company is still being bested by Nvidia (NVDA), the market leader. “SpaceX would build exclusively on Nvidia (NVDA) chips, calling them the best hardware right now,” Elon Musk stated during a recent SpaceX earnings call.

AMD stock also faces risks from high interest rates. Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh delivered a hawkish speech at the Jackson Hole meeting, emphasizing inflation concerns. A rate hike could lead to capital flowing out from the stock market.
